Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Macau (The Macau Holy House of Mercy) has proudly unveiled its first private day care centre and the second of its kind – Crèche Lara Reis – on 15th of January, 2022.
OBJECTIVES
Our aim is to create a homely, safe environment, where children can be happy, while feeling safe and loved. We fully believe that play is the medium through which, children learn, explore and experience their surroundings.
GOALS
Our target is to offer a space where:
• children are confident to be themselves, to bond with others and to learn;
• diversity of ways of self-expression (language, art, movement) is respected and valued;
• mixed cultures of local characteristics are integrated for a child’s character development;
• natural resources are utilized as tools for the understanding of oneself and the world;
• Together, children, family and school, come to being a learning community.
CONTENTS AND SCOPE OF SERVICES
Child Care: In response to children's needs for proper care, music and dialogue play an important role for children to grow up healthily in a clean, entertaining, safe and happy environment.
Areas of Development: Classroom activities, complemented by music, fitness exercise, patterns and other methods to inspire children's potentials that suit their appropriately developed.
Health care: Regular health checks for children are conducted by our healthcare professionals as appropriate preventive health measures.
Meals:
• The Crèche provides lunch and afternoon tea to children during the period of their stay;
• Meals are prepared by the crèche own chefs and planned by a nutritionist according to the age group of the children.
