DescriptionBackground:
The Nursery of the Women’s General Association of Macau was established as a subordinate institution to the Women’s General Association of Macau on February 10, 1952 to aid working women in looking after their children, subsidized from Social Welfare Bureau since 2009 and managed by Women’s General Association of Macau.

Objectives:
Its goals are to help young children to adapt to group life, building child independence and self-care abilities, promote their physical and mental development, alleviate the childcare pressure of working women and improve women’s employment opportunities.

Targets:
 It strives to strengthen communication and sharing of child-raising experience with parents, promote a good parent-child relationship and foster better understanding between parents and children so as to achieve effective parenting at home and for the nursery to provide appropriate childcare services.
Besides committed to the wholesome development of young children, the nursery makes every effort to attend to their caring and nurturing needs and works closely with their parents. It adopts a goal-specific approach to develop children’s abilities through different types of games and encourages them to apply them in everyday life.

Contents and Area:
The contents of nursery services are included:
 Provide young children with adequate care and assorted activities conducive to their wholesome development.
 Provide nutritious meals (lunch, afternoon refreshments and fruits) to ensure the young children getting well-balanced nutrients for maintaining a healthy well-being.
 Provide young children with basic healthcare, including having their height and weight measured at regular intervals.
 Organize activities at regular intervals to build close bonds between parents and children.
